Born in Houston during the hot and humid summer, this performance shirt can survive any adventure on earth. Its propriety blend is super cooling, quick drying, antimicrobial, SPF +50 and has wrinkle release technology. We designed this as a Cowboy Cut, which is slimming (with 4-way stretch) but has enough room for your gut. It is Pearl Snap with Western Yoke and Vented back Yoke (with additional hidden zipper pocket and sunglass cleaner). You could seriously wear it all week and it would continue to look/smell great. There is a huge difference in our handmade boots compared to a mass produced boot you may find on the shelf at a store. We stake our reputation on the quality of our boots and are able to sell our boots direct to you without the mark-up of traditional retail. Don’t be confused by other online companies that are not master bootmakers.

The Leather Construction – many factory boots use synthetic material that makes the initial feel more comfortable. This is similar to putting on a sneaker. That material acts like an initial cushion but the unknown factor is that it does not breathe or let toxins out. Like a sneaker it gets nasty over a short amount of time and it will degrade. We routinely resole boots 10-30 years old that have all leather natural soles, but that would not be possible with a factory boot that has synthetic material (it’s pretty disgusting). Like a good baseball glove, a full leather boot will conform to your foot and become extremely comfortable over time – don’t compromise. The Material – We hand-pick our hides from the best tanneries and only allow the best quality. Competitors that mass produce boots source in bulk and these commercial dealers provide the cheapest material. Much of this material loses integrity and may crack or tear, minimizing the life of the boot. There is a huge difference in leather quality – only settle for the best. The soles of many factory boots are made of composite (pressed leather and cardboard particles) – of course this will not last long. We only use the finest sole leather that provides the durability that you expect.

The Craftsmanship – All of our customs boots are 100% handmade in our Houston, TX bootshop. In the 1836 Collection (stock line of boots) our team in our North American shops (Houston & Leon) handcraft them with a standardized design and we cut out the middle-man to lower our price to you. In our custom boots we hand shape our toe boxes, hand stitch the tops, hand last the fit, and pour many more hours in finalizing the perfect boot. We do it the old-school way, because it’s the right way.

A very unique place I bought some boots got home and found something wrong with one boot brought it back and they fixed it. If you have time to wait for a pair they also do custom boots. This is one place that stands behind their boots they sell. I highly recommend this place also they did a great job putting new heal caps on my boots

If you're ordering boots from this place you will never get the experience of this small shop. I would recommend going there. They are the absolute best shop you will ever experience. Very cool experience picking out custom boots with them. The whole place has a positive vibe and employees that actually seem happy and proud of where they work. I will preface that I have not yet bought anything here however I have been wanting to stop in here since I started traveling to Houston for work and I was able to stop in for a few minutes between engagements last week (first week or rodeo 2025). The shop is really cool and the staff was very helpful. I only had time to try on one pair of boots...I tried on the Crocketts in my normal size 13 with and without the insole, boots were a little to snug on the ball of my feet and my instep. Did not have time try on a bigger pair, but hopefully next time I am down there! The layout of the shop was really nice and lots of cool leather gear (coasters, journals and all sorts of stuff). Looking forward to actually getting something from them in the near future.

These run on the bigger side and I love the stretch. Other brands can require me to up one size. I love the comfort and the style and fabric and how the one awkward vertical pocket can be nearly hidden by tucking the tassle into the pocket and zipping it up so that it can be worn as a dress shirt.

Only desired change (for white shirt only) is if it could be a little less see through. I know that just may not be possible with the fabric.

I also have long sleeve gray and black and they are perfect. Glad to support this brand!
